This course includes seaweeds, scrambling on rocks, which can be slippery at times.

A stunning, exposed area, east of Lands End, with a wonderful range of edible plants to forage & learn about. The route chosen will be weather and group dependent, though may include steep coastal walking, easy tarmac paths, or an amble somewhere between the two.

Meeting Point: Meet National Trust Car Park, Cape Cornwall (outside St Just, West Penwith Map Ref. SW 353 316, Postcode (for Sat Navs) TR19 7NN

Directions: From St Just in Penwith, drive down Cape Cornwall Road, winding lane for about 1.5miles, past the Cape Cornwall Golf Club (to your left), and down the steep hill towards the sea - you'll find the car park as you can go no further!

Bus: 17/17A/17B To St Just only (20-30 minute walk)

COASTAL~HEDGEROW FORAGING COURSE with Tasters

Level of walk: Includes walking across sand, sand dunes, steps and paths. Approx 2 miles in length.

Meeting point: Gwithian Towans Pay & Display Car Park, Nr. Hayle, TR27 5BT

Directions: From the A30, take the turning for Hayle, and onto Gwithian (Loggans Rd, B3301), you’ll go past lots of holiday parks then at the top of a small incline, look out for a left turning, which is on a slight bend (to the right) on the road, with a stopping area just after it. Follow the road down to the bottom (over a few speed humps) to the large Pay & Display car park at the bottom. We will meet there.

If you get to Gwithian village, and the Red river Pub, you've gone too far. Turn around and head to the top of the hill, looking for the right turn.

About the Walk: About 2 miles in length, includes walking down a steep slipway to the beach. The beach is rocky in places, with rockpools and potential slippery areas too.
